  It is not a matter of giving a learned discourse to a highly educated group. You have a vital message to get across with enthusiasm to an average audience.

  
  AVERAGE AUDIENCE?!?!?! Well, thanks very much! So now we are not in the highly educated class? No wonder is it seeing as further education was in effect banned, average.... what a cheek!

  Doubtless you will be assigned one or more talks from the list provided by the Society. It is preferred that you give these talks rather than talks you have composed yourself.

  
  Oh, so dont bother having any ideas of your own, we don't want those thank you very much, stick with the programme....

  Isn't it amazing how these things sound so different when you leave and see it from another angle.

  Kmart Card Table Time..Same as Door to Door?

  question for the panel, please?.

  at my local kmart there is always a jw table set up.

  i dont get close enough to actually see what literature is set on the table but close enough to view the free bible study sign prominently displayed in the midst of books, etc.. generally, this card table is manned by two or three young women.

  Charitable Planning Brochure

  sorry if this has been covered and i missed it but i just wondered if anyone had got hold of a copy of the brochure 'charitable planning to benefit kingdom service worldwide' that was plugged in the nov 1st wt?.

  it astounds me that(in the light of the scathing criticism the wt society is getting) that they dare to publish a booklet designed solely for begging purposes.. anyone with a copy please scan us a few gems to keep us suitably disgusted.. what about the title of the accompanying article?.

  'the blessing of jehovah-that is what makes rich'should be re-phrased 'the donations of the living and especially the charitably planned donations of the dead-make the wt society rich'.

  Yes, isn't it good to prove people wrong, I married my hubby 'individual' when I was only 18 and people were quite critical saying it wouldnt last, yet we are still going strong and other relationships have been crumbling around us lately. There is a lot to be said for true love!

  Lesley - yes, it is brilliant, I found details of an ex-boyfriend who is now running from the CSA (Child Support Agency), he has just divorced his wife and it sounds as though he is trying to avoid paying anything toward the upkeep of his kids.... phew, glad I dumped him now! Oh, to think what might have been.....

  Bringing back fantastic memories for me, so many familiar names and faces, and who would have thought the class swot would have ended up on a building site and the girl who never brushed her hair and wore naff clothes would end up being a top graphic designer with her own company. Amazing site.

  its nearly time to sit on santas knee and tell him what you want for christmas...... so come on, tell us what is on your wish list and give me some ideas on what to buy that person who has everything they want already!.

  oh, by the way, i want a blood pressure machine..... dont ask, isnt having 3 kids, a college course and 2 jobs enough reason?.

  Bound volumes? Nah, he was the one who helped me put most of them on a big bonfire! Getting up a head of steam for Christmas? But of course! Santas grotto will pale in comparison to my living room! And the best thing about it all is that 'individual' is celebrating with me fully this year instead of being wracked with guilt and without muttering 'pagan festival' every 5 minutes - he even took me out shopping for decorations yesterday - unprompted!
